Episode 58 - Wielder of the Dragon

First off, I'm going to apologize for this summary being so short. But, not a whole lot happened in this episode, because everything took a while to happen. Anywho, on with the summary!

This episode starts off with Hiei removing the bandages from his arm, saying that It has been pulling at them for quite some time now, and that Bui will be the next sacrifice to the Dragon of the Darkness Flame. Sakyo and Toguro comment about how Hiei used this technique against Zeru of Team Rokuyukai in the first round of the tournament. Toguro comments that Hiei must think that this match is important, as its the first time he's used it since that match.

The Dragon of the Darkness Flame begins to emerge from Hiei's arm, and Koto pulls Juri out of the ring to prevent her from being killed. Hiei fires the Dragon of the Darkness Flame at Bui, who struggles against it, and finally stops it, shocking everyone. Hiei gives the Dragon more power, and it sends Bui flying out of the stadium, and leaving a large, gaping hole in the stadium. Bui remembers how Toguro beat him before and says that he will not be defeated again. Bui manages to turn the Dragon of the Darkness Flame back towards Hiei, who is swallowed up by the Dragon. Bui jumps back into the ring. Koto wakes up Juri, who's scared out of her mind right now. Juri stumbles forward, and sees the Dragon of the Darkness Flame swirling around in the air. She says that "since Hiei can't compete without a body, the winner can only be Bui," but she never finishes the sentence because she is knocked backwards by an explosion from the ring. The Dragon of the Darkness Flame disappears, and Hiei is left standing in the ring. Keiko notices that the wound on his arm is gone.

Hiei states that he has mastered the Dragon of the Darkness Flame technique by containing the Dragon within his own body, and that he is now the Dragon. Bui doesn't want to believe that Hiei is stronger than his Battle Aura, and launches a fray of punches and kicks at Hiei, who doesn't even move. Bui tosses Hiei into the air and kicks him back down into the ring, making a small crater. Hiei stands up, completely unharmed. Bui charges up his Battle Aura and runs at Hiei, but Hiei literally sucks up Bui's Battle Aura, the source of Bui's power. Hiei knocks Bui into the air and leaps after him. Hiei punches Bui, sending him flying into the stands. Hiei lands beside him, and since both are out of the ring, Juri begins the ten-count. Bui asks Hiei to finish him off, but Hiei tells him that if he wants to die, then he can kill himself. Hiei jumps back into the ring, just after the eighth count, and then tells Bui that he doesn't take orders from anyone, especially those that he defeats. Juri announces Hiei as the winner, since Bui didn't get back in the ring before the tenth count.

Hiei walks back over to the others, who congratulate him. Hiei then tells him to find a place to put his body where it won't get stepped on, because he will have to "hibernate" for a while to get back his energy. He turns to Yusuke and Kuwabara. "I'm trusting you against my better judgement, only because I have no choice. Beat the Toguro Brothers. If I wake up and we've lost, I swear I'll kill you all...." Hiei promptly passes out, and Kurama laughs, as does Yusuke, saying that Hiei faints, but still has time for threats. Kuwabara pulls out a marker and asks if he can draw a mustache on Hiei, ending the episode.
